Drone footage of Apple’s $5 billion HQ shows you what 2.82 million square feet of office space looks like

It’s no secret that Apple is hard at work building a $5 billion HQ in the heart of Cupertino. After drone videographer Duncan Sinfield gave us a bird’s-eye view of Apple’s gargantuan campus in February, he’s back with an update that shows off the site as of 3 March.

Since the beginning of February, a lot has happened at Apple’s HQ, with the beginnings of a 100,000 square foot fitness facility and 11,000 parking spaces cropping up.

Sinfield’s drone footage shows just how massive the entire project is, with 2.82 million square feet of office space that needs to be covered with the largest panes of glass in the world. It also has underground access tunnels to reach the inner courtyard along with the multi-storey car parks and fitness centre.

There’s also a 1,000-seat underground auditorium – presumably for Apple’s product launches, similar to the one happening on 21 March – as well as enough working space for 12,000 employees.
