Sky’s original Now TV is still the best way to watch Sky TV without the costly subscription, and with the recent addition of the Now TV Stick, getting access to Sky Sports, Sky Cinema and more is even cheaper. 

The Sky Now TV box and Stick come with BBC iPlayer, 4oD, YouTube and movie rentals as standard, among other apps. To watch additional content, you’ll need to buy a pass.

 An Entertainment Pass typically costs £7.99 a month, a Sky Cinema Pass is £9.99 a month, a Kids Pass is priced at £2.99 a month, and a Sky Sports Pass starts at £7.99 for a day’s pass, £12.99 for a week’s pass and £33.99 for a month’s access.

The Entertainment Pass, Sky Cinema Pass and Kids Pass all come with a 14-day trial, and all Now TV passes can be cancelled at any time without paying a termination fee. If you don’t know which pass to choose, here is a summary of each as well as instructions on how to cancel Now TV passes.

Entertainment Pass 

The Sky Now TV Entertainment Pass offers all the free Now TV features plus 11 Sky channels and 250 box sets, featuring Curb Your Enthusiasm, Twin Peaks, Tin Star and more. 

Sky Cinema Pass

The Sky Cinema Pass offers 1,000 on-demand films included in the monthly fee. At the time of writing these movies include Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find ThemAssassin’s CreedT2: Trainspotting and Sing

Kids Pass

Sky’s Kids TV offers thousands of episodes from the likes of My Little PonySpongebob SquarepantsAdventure TimePaw Patrol all without adverts. 

Sky Sports Pass

There are three flavours of Sky Sports Pass – daily, weekly or monthly. The day pass lasts for 24 hours, seven days or 30 days from the time of activiation. The latter will renew automatically each month unless cancelled whereas the daily and weekly passes expire at the end of the time period.

How to cancel Now TV passes

You can only cancel a Now TV pass on the Now TV website in My Account. It is not currently available on the Now TV app.

Once you’ve signed in, go to My Passes, hit Cancel next to the Pass you don’t want any more, then follow the onscreen steps.

You can only cancel Sky Sports Day and Week Passes as long as you bought them in the last 14 days and they haven’t been activated. To do so, you’ll need to speak to a Now TV advisor using the online Get In Touch option on the Now TV website.
