Crimeware: Understanding New Attacks and Defenses review
This hefty tome brings together the thoughts and experiences of more than 50 security professionals involved in the fight against financially motivated malware, tackling topics ranging from kernel-mode rootkit methods to the mechanics of domain parking and click fraud.
Its breadth of subject matter makes it exhausting to read from start to finish, and the dryness of much of the writing doesn’t help – even the editors recommend you skim through rather than reading it whole.
But there’s a wealth of priceless insight and information on offer, and well-defined chapters mean you can quickly read up on the issues you’re interested in and skip the rest.
