Verify with Bank

To start using a new card in Apple Pay, your bank may require additional verification to confirm you added a card to prevent fraud. Apple Pay prioritizes the safety and privacy of its users. This verification step also prevents unauthorized people from adding cards to the service.

Depending on financial institutions, your bank may want more personal details, such as answers to security questions, or they might even request that you download their mobile app.

If you don’t finish the entire verification process, you may have problems adding your card. These few extra steps will keep you safe and ensure no one else can add your card to their Apple Pay account.

Security

Apple Pay uses advanced security features to protect the user’s payment information. All card details are encrypted and stored securely on a user’s device. Every transaction produces a unique one-time dynamic security code for additional verification.

In case an iPhone is lost or stolen, users can suspend or permanently delete the payment capability remotely through Find My iPhone.

Moreover, Apple Pay uses strong encryption, tokenization, and authentication technologies to achieve highly secure mobile payments while remaining simple to use.

Transactions

You can easily see and control transactions using Apple Pay in the Wallet app. When you open the kit, a list of recent transactions made with your linked cards will appear there.

With this application, you can check additional information about the transaction, such as merchant name, date, time, and amount. Just click on any transaction to see its receipt showing the things bought. This feature facilitates budget tracking and helps to prevent unauthorized withdrawals.

In addition, you can manage linked debit or credit cards right from the Wallet app. Update billing details, delete unused cards, or activate new ones – all these options are at your disposal. As such, you can supervise any money transfers and improve your personal finance management all in one place.

If you have multiple cards added, you can easily change the default card in Apple Pay.
