Update: Mobdro currently does not work. It was disabled on March 11, 2021, due to losing a court battle to Premier League, which claimed that almost 43 million users watch sports illegally using the app.

The Mobdro website is still up and running, but they added a download link for an alternative app with similar uses.

Does that mean the app will return? It is possible, but there are no guarantees. After all, the website is still intact and provides links to alternative apps too.

How to Download and Install Mobdro on Android 7 or Lower

Head to “Settings | Security” then ensure “Unknown Sources” is checked.
Tap “OK” in the confirmation if you’re happy with the warning.
Mobdro isn’t available on Google Play, meaning you’ll need to search for “Mobdro” on Google or go directly to the Mobdro download, which is the safest option.
On the Mobdro website, click the large “Download” button and you’ll see the app’s download progress on your notification screen.
Your tablet or smartphone will ask if you’d like to install Mobdro, so click “Next,” and then tap on “Install.”

How to Download and Install Mobdro on Android 8 and 9

Go to “Settings,” then “Apps,” and then tap on the “vertical ellipsis” (three vertical dots) in the upper right-hand corner.
Choose “Special Access,” then select “Install unknown apps.”
Download Mobdro from the website directly using your Android device and your browser.
Tap on “Download” in the navigational menu at the top and select the large “Download for Android” button. You’ll see the app’s download progress on your notification screen.
Your tablet or smartphone will ask if you’d like to install Mobdro, so click “Next,” and then tap on “Install.”

How to Download and Install Mobdro on Android 10 and Above

Android 10 took another step towards third-party restrictions by setting installations from unknown sources on a “per-app” basis. This action is not per each downloaded app but per each app used to install it.

Choose the app you’ll use to install Mobdro, such as “Chrome” or “Files.”
Go to Mobdro’s website, tap on the “Download” link in the navigation menu at the top, then select “Mobdro for Android” and download the Mobdro app.
Launch the app you gave permsission to to install third-party apps, then select your Mobdro install file.

That’s it. Mobdro is now installed, and you’re ready to go! You’ll have access to a range of content for as long as you like. You can also select the paid version to remove ads. If Mobdro is not your thing, uninstall it like any other Android app.
