Tinder is testing a new feature that will let you be a virtual wingman to your mates. The new feature lets users “share” a potential match with a friend, so you can effectively play matchmaker.

In a blog post, the dating app says that users in the trial will see a “Share” icon on every profile, and clicking it will generate a temporary link that can be sent to a friend. The recipient can then swipe left or right on the profile as normal.
Interestingly, Tinder says the link will expire after five clicks or 72 hours – whichever comes first. The feature works both ways too. If you swipe right on a profile that’s been shared with you, you’ll appear in your prospective partner’s next batch of recommendations – provided you meet their age, gender and location criteria.
While the feature only exists as a trial for now, it’s likely that Tinder will end up releasing it across the world – just like it did with Super Likes.
