Samsung’s S8 is still pretty much the best smartphone money can buy (read our review here) and it’s yours for the bargain price of £560 – not far off half the price of an iPhone X.

Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge – £379.99
It might not be Samsung’s latest flagship device, but the Samsung S7 (read our review here) is still a great handset and it’s cheaper than it’s ever been at Argos.co.uk.

LG G6 – £379.99 (Save £220)
LG’s handsets always tend to have their price cut as they get a bit older, but don’t let that put you off the G6 (read our review here). It’s currently selling for £379.99 at the Carphone Warehouse, and you’ll struggle to find a better device for that price.

The best Black Friday SIM-only deals – 1 Month Contracts
2.5GB data, 250 minutes, 5000 texts – £6/month (ID Mobile)
If you’re careful not to exceed your allowances, this deal from ID Mobile will only cost you £72 a year. To help you do this, the network lets you set a cap as low as £5 on additional charges. Your data allowance will also roll over from one month to the next.
3GB data, 1500 minutes, unlimited texts – £8/month (Virgin Media)
This deal from Virgin Media is only available from Carphone Warehouse and it’s ridiculously good value. Any unused data rolls over to next months and WhatsApp messaging doesn’t count towards your allowance.
10GB data, 3000 minutes, 5000 texts – £15/month (Tesco Mobile)
Like ID Mobile, Tesco lets you cap your spending so you don’t get any nasty surprises from your phone bill.
12GB data, unlimited minutes, unlimited texts – £20/month (Three)
Users who are constantly glued to their phones will struggle to find better value than this deal from Three. You can use your phone in 60 countries around the world at no extra cost thanks to Feel at Home and Go Binge lets you use specific apps such as Netflix, Apple Music and Deezer without it counting towards your data usage.
The best Black Friday SIM-only deals – 12-Month Contracts
12GB data, unlimited minutes, unlimited texts – £15/month (Three)
This is the same plan as the 1-month Three plan above, but you can save £60 over the year by committing for 12-months.
16GB data, unlimited minutes, unlimited texts – £16/month (Vodafone)
Save £16 a month by grabbing this Red Entertainment deal from Vodafone. It comes with 12-months of Spotify, Sky Sports Mobile or NOW TV.
20GB data, unlimited minutes, unlimited texts – £19.99/month (EE)
From 22nd November, you can pick up this deal from EE and save £204 over the year.
25GB data, unlimited minutes, unlimited texts – £26/month (EE)
You’re very unlikely to exceed your allowances with this EE deal and it also comes with an EE Reward Card pre-loaded with £100 that you can spend anywhere that accepts Mastercard. It’s also available from 22 November.
