Black Friday is among us. No, the day in question isn’t here yet – that’ll be Friday 24 November – but that hasn’t stopped the long list of UK tech retailers from dropping their deals early. And Chromebooks, boy are there plenty of deals to be scooped up right now.

That’s right, if you’ve been umming and ahhing about handing over your hard-earned cash for a Chrome OS-powered laptop recently, now’s the time to do it.

Best Black Friday 2017 Chromebook deals
1. Asus Chromebook Flip (Was £600, now £430)
The most expensive on this list, but don’t let that put you off, Asus’ Chromebook Flip is a fantastic purchase if you have the spare change lying about. In fact, it’s one of the best Chromebooks 2017 has to offer, complete with a 12.5in Full HD display, Intel Core m processor, 4GB of RAM and 64Gb of onboard storage. Asus’ Chromebook Flip may be the best purchase you make this year.
2. Asus C300 Chromebook (Was £250, now £130)
Asus’ C300 Chromebook is cheap, ludicrously cheap. That’s not to say it’s a big plasticky mess either – Asus has cooked up a fantastically well-priced Chromebook here, complete with an Intel Celeron processor, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard flash storage. Sure, you can only buy it in blue, but who cares when you spent this little on it?

3. Acer Chromebook R11 (Was £230, now £148)
If you were to pick up any Chromebook, this is the one to get. Acer’s Chromebook R11 is the Chromebook you imagine when you’re dreaming of the perfect Chrome OS laptop – it’s cheap, small and lightweight enough to fit in your rucksack, or possibly your large handbag. And for a meagre £150, it’s generously well-specced too.
4. Dell Chromebook 11 (Was £240, now £204)
Dell’s dinky little Chromebook 11 is a cheap and cheerful ruggedised Chromebook – perfect for the little ones (or anyone riddled with a bad case of the butterfingers). It’s well-built, and ideal for work on the go. What more could you ask for?
5. Acer Chromebook 14 (Was £250, now £180)
Acer’s Chromebook 14 is one of the best. Mostly thanks to its unbeatable build quality, the Chromebook 14 is built to withstand the test of time. In short, it’s a proper premium device at a not so premium price.
6. HP Chromebook 11 (Was £198, now £180)
The last Chromebook on this list isn’t so bad either. Equipped with an Intel Celeron N3060 processor, 2GB of RAM and a 1,366 x 758 display, HP’s Chromebook 11 has a quoted battery life of 12.5hrs. Not bad – this Chromebook will last you more than a day’s use on a single charge, and then some.
