DJI Spark is an incredibly clever follow-me drone that can be controlled using gestures. Available in Alpine White, Sky Blue, Meadow Green, Lava Red, and Sunrise Yellow, the Spark features equipped QuickShot and ActiveTrack modes. Additionally, there is a new ‘Sphere’ mode which you can use to take 360 photos.

 Spark’s camera can shoot up to 1080p HD videos and 12MP photos with a flight time of up to 16 minutes.It weighs 300g and into that compact size and shape, DJI has fitted a “3D sensing” system, which it uses for object avoidance and tracking above a 1080p/12-megapixel camera with a 1/2.3in CMOS sensor.

A flap on the rear covers the Spark’s micro-USB slot and charging points and there’s 2GB of internal storage for the temporary storage of pictures and video.

You’ll be able to get around 16 minute of flight time with this drone, and it can reach speeds of up to 31mph (50km/h).

When we reviewed the Spark back in June, we had some minor concerns about how accurate the gesture controls are, but the drone itself is a work of art and beautifully put together. Our head of reviews, Jon Bray, even said the DJI Spark is a “fantastic achievement technologically, and an immensely satisfying thing to fly.”
