In an absolute coup for Sony Mobile, the company has partnered with the PlayStation arm of the Japanese giant to offer the ultimate phone deal.

Anyone who pre-orders the Sony Xperia XZ2 or Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact from today (16 March) until the release date on 6 April, will get a free PlayStation 4 with Gran Turismo Sport, which usually retails for around £249. Already own a PS4? Sony will instead give you a PlayStation VR Starter Pack worth £349.99. The deal will only run while stocks last though, so you’ll need to be quick.
What’s more, if you order an Xperia XZ2, XZ2 Compact, XZ1, XZ1 Compact or XZ Premium, you’ll be given the choice of a 12-month PlayStation Plus membership (worth £49.99).

SIM-free models of the Xperia X2 cost £699, while the Xperia XZ2 Compact comes in at £549. You can also pre-order the phones and choose between the PlayStation 4 and Gran Turismo Sport bundle or PlayStation VR Starter Pack via Three and Carphone Warehouse. Although the deals were meant to go live at midnight, the CPW deal is still not appearing at the time of writing. The Three deal is live, though.
Of course, the timing of this incredible deal comes, somewhat conveniently, on the same day the Samsung Galaxy S9 goes on general sale, with Sony likely hoping to sway some of those on the fence, or looking for a new device, towards its own XZ range.
