Pre-order the Sony Xperia XZ2 and you’ll get a free PS4 or PSVR AND a free PS Plus membership
In an absolute coup for Sony Mobile, the company has partnered with the PlayStation arm of the Japanese giant to offer the ultimate phone deal.
Anyone who pre-orders the Sony Xperia XZ2 or Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact from today (16 March) until the release date on 6 April, will get a free PlayStation 4 with Gran Turismo Sport, which usually retails for around £249. Already own a PS4? Sony will instead give you a PlayStation VR Starter Pack worth £349.99. The deal will only run while stocks last though, so you’ll need to be quick.

PlayStation Pluslets Xperia owners play multiplayer games online on PlayStation 4, comes with free PS games every month, and gives you discounts on the PlayStation Store. If you choose this optional extra, you’ll need to redeem the offer through the Xperia Lounge app, which comes pre-installed on Xperia phones.
SIM-free models of the Xperia X2 cost £699, while the Xperia XZ2 Compact comes in at £549. You can also pre-order the phones and choose between the PlayStation 4 and Gran Turismo Sport bundle or PlayStation VR Starter Pack via Three and Carphone Warehouse. Although the deals were meant to go live at midnight, the CPW deal is still not appearing at the time of writing. The Three deal is live, though.
Of course, the timing of this incredible deal comes, somewhat conveniently, on the same day the Samsung Galaxy S9 goes on general sale, with Sony likely hoping to sway some of those on the fence, or looking for a new device, towards its own XZ range.
In summary, Xperia XZ2 and XZ2 Compact both come with 5.7in HDR Full HD+ HDR display, stereo speakers, and run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor.
