How to Delete an Account on a PC

Please note that only the admin can delete an account. Your team members won’t be able to do so. Fortunately, it can be accomplished relatively easily. To delete an account on a PC, follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to your monday.com account here.
  2. Click on your profile picture.
  3. Choose “Admin” from the menu on the left side of the screen.
  4. From the menu, select “Billing.”
  5. Tap “Cancel my account” located on the bottom right side of the screen.
  6. Select your reason for canceling your account from the popup window.
  7. Click “Cancel Account.”
  8. You will now be given the option to freeze your account for 14, 30, 60, or 90 days. If you still want to cancel, select “Still want to cancel.”
  9. To delete your account, press “Cancel plan renewal.”

You’ve now successfully deleted your monday.com account on your PC.

How to Delete an Account on a Mac

You’ll need to be the admin to delete your monday account. Your team members won’t be able to do so. To delete an account on a Mac, do the following:

What happens to my data when I delete my account?

Once your account has been deleted, monday.com will retain your data and it will remain available if you decide to reopen your account in the future. However, monday.com may delete your data at any time, so it’s not guaranteed that your data will be saved.

I want to cancel my account but don’t want to lose my data. Is there a way to save it?

Yes, you can save your data by exporting it to a zip file. To do so, follow these instructions.

1. Click your profile photo and select “Admin.”

2. Select “General” from the right-side menu and tap the “Account” tab at the top of the screen.

3. At the bottom of the screen, tap the “Export” button.

4. Once you’ve pressed this button, you’ll receive a message that the export is in process.

5. When your data has been collected, you’ll receive an email with a download link.

Please note that depending on how much data you have, the export process could take several hours.

What does it mean to freeze my account?

Freezing your account will stop the timer on your subscription, but you won’t have access to your data during this period. This is useful if you won’t be using monday.com for the next 14 to 90 days. Please note that freezing your account isn’t the same as deleting it. Freezing merely stops the subscription timer and isn’t a substitution for canceling your account.

I have a paid subscription but want to delete my account. Will I receive a refund?

That depends on how long ago you paid for your subscription. If your paid subscription started less than 30 days ago, then you are entitled to a prorated refund. There’s no need to request a refund, it will automatically happen once you delete your account. You’ll see the refund on your credit card approximately 7-10 days later. For those whose paid account is older than 30 days, monday.com will not offer a prorated refund. You will, however, have access to your account until your billing cycle has ended.

I’ve canceled my account. Will I still receive emails from monday.com?

Once you’ve canceled your account, you should no longer receive any emails. However, if for any reason one sneaks through and you do receive unwanted emails, you can simply click the “unsubscribe” button on the bottom of the email.
