You’ll need to make plenty of noise to drown out the system, though. Although the cooling power is extraordinary, the hum of the fans can be irritating and there isn’t a lot of dampening offered by the case, which is enormous and quite ugly. There are no accessible USB ports either, and no hub to compensate. The slot-loading drive is recessed into the chassis, and as the front is curved it’s tricky to take discs out without covering them in fingerprints.

But while the Titan Extreme isn’t discreet, it isn’t dual core and it’s outrageously expensive, as the fastest gaming rig it has no rival.
