How to Record in Slow Motion

Here is a simple guide to using your S8/S8+ to record events in slow motion:

1. Open the Camera App

You can change the interval by simply dragging the brackets to the right place on your playback bar. You can also extend the interval to your entire playback bar, which means that your whole video is in slow motion. Additionally, you can create more than one interval.

There is also an editing option that lets you choose between different playback rates: the slow-motion intervals can play at 1/2, 1/4 or 1/8 of your video’s standard speed.

When your slow-motion video is complete, you can share it to your social media accounts.

Your Galaxy S8 or S8+ comes with a high-quality camera that works well in dimly-lit conditions. It can record 4K videos at 30 fps. If you want a higher frame rate, you can choose 1080p resolution instead.

If you want to experiment with slow motion, you can record your video at 240fps. This means that you can slow down 5 seconds of recording to 40 seconds of playback.
