How to Unlock All Agents in Valorant

Riot Games’ “Valorant” is finally past the beta stage and available to first-person shooter (FPS) junkies across the world. As more players enter the competitive stage, it’s time to get serious about the agents you utilize in your matches. Having the right agent for the match is just as important as understanding the mechanics of the game.

How to Unlock All Agents in Valorant

So, keep reading to learn more about which agents are freebies, which ones you’ll need to work for, and how to collect them all.

How to Unlock All Agents in Valorant

As of the 1.02 update, there are 14 agents in Valorant with more to come in future updates. Your first two agents are free once you complete the introductory contract. Completing the contract also opens up more agent contracts and gives you the first five tiers for free for the agents you chose in the introductory.

After that, it gets a little tricky.

One of the things you have to remember is that you need to get to Level 5 with a locked agent to unlock them as a viable option for your roster. There are a couple of ways to do it:

Method 1 – Paying Your Way to Unlocked Agents

The first and simplest way is to buy your way through the roster. If you’re willing to spend real-world money, you can simply buy the agents you want without unnecessary grinding. Like other microtransactions for this type of game, though, the final bill is not cheap:

200 Valorant points per level = $2 USD

Levels 1-5 = 1000 Valorant points or $10 USD

You’d pay approximately $10 per agent to unlock their contract levels.

Method 2 – Grind XP

If you’re a little cash-shy or don’t believe in “pay-to-play” you can always unlock agents by simply completing contracts. It’s a time-consuming process but in the end, you get your agents without spending a dime.

Check out how to get started:

  1. Go to “COLLECTION” from the Main Menu.
  2. Select “Agents” to see all the available agents locked and unlocked.
  3. Choose the agent you’d like to unlock and press the “ACTIVATE” button under their avatar.
  4. Go to the bottom right-hand corner and select “VIEW CONTRACT”.

After completing the steps above, you should see the contract for the locked agent. There are a total of 10 levels for each agent, which can be unlocked at Level 5 by collecting XP in playing the game.

Concentrate on completing Daily Challenges since they provide an XP boost to put towards unlocking Agents. Keep in mind, though, that some of the challenges have time limits, so try to complete those first to grab up all the XP that you can before you’re locked out.

You’ll need around 25,000 XP to complete Tier 1 of an Agent’s contract with an extra 25,000 points for each Tier onwards.

So, your XP for one Agent to Level 5 would look like this:

Tier 1 = 25,000 XP

Tier 2 = 50,000 XP (25,000 + additional 25,000)

Tier 3 = 75,000 XP (50,000 + additional 25,000)

Tier 4 = 100,000 XP (75,000 + additional 25,000)

Tier 5 = 125,000 XP (100,000 + additional 25,000)

Add all the required experience points together for a total of 375,000 XP per Agent.

How to Unlock All Agents in Valorant Fast

The fastest way to unlock all the Agents in Valorant is to pay for them out of pocket. However, there are 14 agents currently available for the game at the time of print, with more on the way.

If you don’t want to pay the $120 to unlock all the agents, minus the two you get for free, you’re going to have to play the game.

Unlocking Agents rely on the XP you gather during gameplay. If you want to unlock your agents fast, try to grab as many Daily Challenges as possible and get ready for long grinding sessions. Keep in mind that the XP that you get from regular missions will rarely net more than 5,000 XP per game, so you need to combine them with Challenges to get the most out of each gaming session.

How to Unlock All Agents in Valorant for Free

How to Get Your First 2 Agent Unlocks in Valorant
