Unsolicited calls can be annoying, but turning your phone and ringer off is not always practical. Thankfully, there is another way to avoid unwanted calls.

Check out these easy steps to block unwanted calls on your iPhone X. There are a variety of ways to do it, so pick the one that works best for you.
Block All Calls
Want to block all incoming calls without turning off your phone? Just follow these easy steps.
Step 1 – Access Do Not Disturb
First, access your Settings app from the Home screen. From the Settings menu, tap on Do Not Disturb.
Step 2 – Choose Your Options
You can change individual options for your Do Not Disturb feature. To block all calls, you can manually enable or disable the toggle next to Do Not Disturb.
If you would like to schedule a time for Do Not Disturb to take effect, tap on the toggle next to Scheduled. This will bring up the option to change start and end times.
In addition, you can allow calls from certain groups that are categorized on your iPhone. To access this option, tap on “Allow Calls From” and choose your groups.
Furthermore, you can also allow repeat callers to ring even with Do Not Disturb enabled. To do this, go to Repeated Calls and tap the toggle on. For your phone to register a number as a repeat caller, the subsequent call has to occur within 3 minutes of the original one.
Block Specific Numbers
If you only want to block specific numbers, follow the steps below. Keep in mind that this only works if the numbers are in your Contacts or in the Recents list.
Step 1 – Block Numbers from Contacts List
First, tap on the Phone icon from the Home screen. In the next menu, choose Contacts to access this list. Choose the Contact you want to block and then scroll down to the bottom of the screen.
Tap on “Block This Caller” and then Block Contact to finalize the block.
Step 2 – Block from Recents List
If you would prefer to block from your Recents list, tap on the Phone icon from your Home screen. Tap on Recents and then the “i” information icon next to the contact you wish to block.
Next, scroll to the bottom of the screen to tap on “Block this Caller” and then Block Contact.
Unblocking Calls
If you want to unblock a specific blocked number in the future, it is easy to do.
Step 1 – Access Call Blocking Edits
From the Home screen, go to your Settings app and choose Phone from the menu. Next, go to Call Blocking & Identification and choose Edit.
Step 2 – Unblock Number
Next to the number or contact, you will see a “-“ (minus) sign. Tap the minus next to the contact or number you want to unblock and finalize the action by tapping on Unblock.
Final Thought
If you want to block unsolicited sales calls, one easy way to keep track of all the numbers is to save them in your contacts under descriptive names like “Insurance Spam”. This way, you will know exactly which calls to block instead of randomly blocking a handful of unknown numbers.
