But things get even better. You can easily mirror the phone’s screen to a TV or a PC. This allows you to share media with your friends and family or enjoy your favorite Netflix series without having to hunch over the phone.

There are a few different ways to screencast from your iPhone X. We’ve selected some of the tried-and-tested methods, so feel free to check them out.

Mirroring via Apple TV

Apple TV is an excellent gadget because it integrates seamlessly with the iPhone X. This micro-console also allows you to mirror the screen of any other Apple device. What’s more, you can also play music from your iPhone X via Apple TV without jeopardizing sound quality. Here is how to use it:

1. Select Content

Find a video or other media you want to mirror and tap on the AirPlay icon. If you want to mirror photos, tap on the Share icon first, then select AirPlay.

2. Tap on Your Apple TV

After you select Apple TV from the pop-up menu, the images, videos, and other content should immediately appear on the big screen.

Note: Apple TV and iPhone X need to be connected to the same network for the mirroring to work. Otherwise, you won’t be able to see the Apple TV option on your phone.

Mirror via a Lightning Adapter

There’s no need to worry if you don’t own an Apple TV. A Lightning digital AV adapter allows you to easily cast your iPhone’s screen to any TV with an HDMI input. Besides the adapter, you also need an HDMI cable.

1. Make the Connection

Plug the HDMI cable into an input on your TV and connect it to the Lightning adapter. Connect the USB type-C end of the adapter to the port on your phone.

2. Select the HDMI Input

The screen of your iPhone X should appear on the TV as soon as you select the correct input. Now you can play videos, preview photos, or play games.

How to Mirror to a PC

The easiest way to mirror media from your iPhone X to a PC is via a third-party app. You can choose from a bunch of different apps, but we’ve selected ApowerMirror for the purposes of this write-up. Besides screen mirroring, this app also allows you to record your screen, take screenshots, and use a whiteboard.

Here’s how to set up ApowerMirror:

1. Install the App

Download and install the app on your PC or Mac.

2. Connect to Wi-Fi

Your iPhone X and PC need to be on the same network to initiate mirroring.

3. Launch Control Center

Swipe down from the right of the notch and tap Screen Mirroring.

4. Select Apowersoft

Tap on Apowersoft in the pop-up menu and you’ll be able to see the phone’s screen on your PC.

The Final Screen

You can also mirror the screen of your iPhone X via Chromecast or choose an app other than ApowerMirror. If there’s a screen mirroring app you particularly like, we’d love to hear about it. Share your picks in the comments section below.
