How To Take a Screenshot on the iPhone XS Max

Taking screenshots is not reserved for the underhanded users of Snapchat or for exchanging funny pics of fake Tinder profiles with friends. Sometimes, a screenshot can help smartphone users solve a problem or share some important info.

Since the introduction of the iPhone, taking a screenshot has been pretty much the same. However, after the removal of the Home button, things have changed a bit and now work similar to Android phones. Let’s take a look at how to take and edit a screenshot with the iPhone XS Max.

Method 1

First, you should make sure that the screen of your phone is displaying everything you want to capture with the screenshot. For example, if the right portion of the map is showing or the right portion of the chat is on the screen.

Next, you should simultaneously press the Power button (located on the right side of the phone) and the Volume Up button (located on the left side). The screen of your phone will flash and you’ll hear the classic shutter sound, notifying you that the screenshot’s been taken. 2. Then, access the “General” section and tap the “Accessibility” tab.
3. Finally, tap the “Assistive Touch” tab and toggle it “On”.

 
Next, you should set screenshot as the app’s function. Follow these steps:

1. In the “Accessibility” menu, tap the “Customize Top Level” option below “Assistive Touch”.
2. Tap the star-shaped “Custom” icon.
3. Pick “Screenshot” from the menu.
4. Tap “Done”.

To take a screenshot, tap the Assistive Touch button and then pick the “Screenshot” option from the menu. Like with the first method, a preview thumbnail will appear at the bottom of the screen. The screen will flash and you’ll hear the shutter sound, as well.
