Mobile World Congress is usually a place for smartphones and tablets, but LG has broken the mold with the Rolling Bot, a nifty little device that should have cats going crazy. Announced alongside with the new LG G5, the Rolling Bot couldn’t be any less serious, but packs in the tech to make an intriguing gadget for cat-owners.

Although it’s already being unofficially called the “Catball”, LG’s latest gadget is controlled via your smartphone – and it’s actually quite clever. LG says the Rolling Bot can connect to your existing Wi-Fi network, and also has a microphone, speaker and 8MP camera so you can keep an eye on your house – and cat.
But the Rolling Bot isn’t just about surveillance, it’s about cat excitement too. The robot can move itself around, and also features a speaker and laser pointer – all the ingredients to keep your cat entertained.
There are no details of when the Rolling Bot will be released, but LG has said it’s going to be a “reasonable price” when it does finally become available.
