Samsung Galaxy S9 specs
The Samsung Galaxy S9 has a 5.8in, 18.5:9 QHD+ display with a resolution of 2,960 x 1,440, giving it a PPI of 567.5.
Powered by an octa-core 2.7GHz Exynos 9810 processor, the Samsung Galaxy S9 runs on 4GB of RAM and comes with 64GB of storage built-in, expandable up to 400GB via microSD.
The invitation for the Unpacked event simply described the Galaxy S9 has having a “reimagined” camera, and this reimagining involves a 12-megapixel shutter on the rear of the device with dual f/1.5 and f/2.4 aperture, OIS, as well as super slow motion video capture at 960fps.
This adds 12-shot multi-frame noise reduction and gives the Samsung Galaxy S9 the widest aperture ever seen on a smartphone meaning it’s ideal for low-light environments. On the front is an 8-megapixel camera with f/1.7 aperture.
Elsewhere, the Samsung Galaxy S9 comes with stereo speakers, a headphone jack, and a 3D emoji system called AR Emoji, Samsung’s answer to Apple’s Animoji. Thanks to a partnership with Disney, you’ll even be able to create Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse AR emojis, as well as characters from Pixar’s Incredibles.
