SAP will release a line of business management software next month, featuring programs that are designed to be delivered to customers over the internet.
The product, which SAP has developed under the codename A1S, is targeted at mid-size businesses and set to be released on September 19. It will also represent the German company’s first major software on-demand initiative.
SAP has previously said it would spend about $500 million in developing A1S as it looks to boost sales to mid-size companies.
It will be taking on Microsoft, Oracle, and other providers in this area.
