Intel launches Digg-style site
Intel has launched a new Digg-style website that is designed to showcase “cool” software companies.
Members of the site, called CoolSW, can post information on new software start-ups, and others can vote and comment on the most innovative and interesting ideas. Companies with the most votes will be highlighted to the front page.
The site was first launched internally for use only by Intel staff, but has now been launched to the general public. The site features RSS feeds, to enable users to keep up-to-date with new submission, as well as tags, so that submitted companies are searchable by keyword.
Interestingly, at the time of writing, the top submission had the headline: “Create a digg clone”.
