Trapped bubbles of air are irritating iPhone owners, according to posts on Apple’s discussion board.

A few owners have found that small bubbles are appearing under the surface of the screen, affecting the otherwise high-quality display.
“I had five bubbles in my screen. One at first, then slowly over the last few months, they just started to appear,” says Apple customer Gary Mason on the Apple discussion board.
“It [Apple] said it had seem about three of them come back with bubbles in the display, but couldn’t get an answer as to why. The Apple Store thought that is was just a ‘first batch’ issue.”
No statement has been released by Apple on the cause of the screen issues, but affected customers are reporting that their handsets have been replaced under warranty.
Apple was unavailable for comment at the time of writing.
