Integral speeds CompactFlash cards
Digital photographers can make sure they cut the time between shots with Just Rams’s new high-speed Integral memory cards.
The Integral 100x high-speed CompactFlash card offers a throughput of at least 15MBps for writing, and boasts reads speeds as great as 17MBps. The SD version claims a minimum write speed of 12MBps and read speeds up to 15MBps.
The high bandwidths are achieved using a dedicated controller on the cards. As well as reducing the time between shots, the cards will also improve video recording, ensuring the interface between camera and card does not present a bottleneck to incoming data.
A 512MB Compact Flash card costs a penny shy of £50 inc Vat, and is offered in capacities ranging from 256MB to 4GB. The SD range starts at 256MB and tops out at 2GB. The 512MB version costs a penny less than £35 inc VAT.
There is also a USB 2.0 card reader that the company claims is compatible with 17 different card formats for £18.99 inc VAT.
