Google has introduced a new search tools for computer programmers.
Google Code Search comprises a set of search options for tracking down code expressions and strings as well as an advanced option for narrowing the search parameters.
The company explained that previously it has been difficult to unearth snippets of reusable code.
‘For a long time it has been sort of an unsolved problem,’ said Tom Stocky, a product manager in the developer products group. ‘It is hard to find references to this sort of data.’
Google Code Search is much easier to find: google.com/codesearch.
