Six-pack of fixes set for Patch Tuesday

Microsoft is planning to release half a dozen fixes for this month’s Patch Tuesday, three of which are rated as critical.

Six-pack of fixes set for Patch Tuesday

The six-pack of November fixes is a welcome relief after last month’s record-breaking Patch Tuesday, which included no fewer than 13 bulletins covering 34 individual vulnerabilities.

Four of this month’s bulletins affect various flavours of Windows, although not the newly-released Windows 7. The two other patches affect both the Windows and Mac versions of Microsoft Office.

All bar one of the patches deal with remote code execution exploits, with the other one dealing with a potential denial-of-service attack.

All of the Windows patches will require systems to be rebooted after installation.

You can get the full details of November’s Patch Tuesday from Microsoft’s Security Bulletin.
