OnePlus 6 Not Receiving Calls – What To Do?
Yes, glitches do occur from time to time, even on flagship models such as OnePlus 6. Some of them are just minor malfunctions, but once your phone isn’t able to receive calls, well, that is a really annoying experience!
Your OnePlus 6 sometimes won’t be able to receive calls and in some other situations it simply drops the conversation right in the middle of it. What can you do about it?
The Dual SIM Issue
Numerous reports on this issue have shown that in most cases the problem is related to the second SIM card in your phone. It isn’t an issue related to the specific mobile carrier, so no matter which SIM you use as the second one, it will be the source of the problem.
What Can You Do About It?
The first thing is to restore the phone to its factory settings. This means you will erase all your personal data, apps, and settings. No matter how painful that sounds, you shouldn’t worry that much because before you do so, you will back up all your data.
Once you go to settings and back up all your personal data, you can safely restore your phone to factory settings and erase all the data, apps, and settings. Once you confirm that you want to do so, the phone will turn itself off and reboot.
As it comes back to life, you will have to take care of all the settings, such as date and time, but you can restore them all from the previous backup you’ve made earlier.
Get someone to call you, and talk for a few minutes to see if the problem still occurs. If the factory restart doesn’t resolve the problem, go to the shop where you’ve purchased your phone and ask for them to repair it for you.
If it can’t be repaired you will be offered a replacement phone. In some cases the issue may even continue onto the replacement device, so arm yourself with patience.
Not having your phone doing its main service (being a phone) is quite an annoying experience, especially when you consider the fact that it’s a pricey top-of-the-line phone. In some cases, this issue simply can’t be resolved.
