Oppo A37 – How to Block Text Messages

If your inbox keeps getting filled with promotional or other irrelevant text messages, the best way to deal with this issue is to block these messages. Blocking text messages is quite an effective way to get rid of all the spammers, group messages, and persistent admirers.

It is very easy to block text messages on your Oppo A37. There are several methods you can use or you can install a third-party app to help you deal with unwanted texts. Let’s take a look at some of the most commonly used text blocking methods.

Use Messages Settings

You can quickly block all text messages from the Messages settings on your Oppo A37 smartphone. Here’s what you need to do:

1. Access the Settings App

Tap to enter the Settings app and swipe until you reach Messages.

2. Access the Messages Settings

Tap on Messages to access additional settings and select Block.

3. Tap on Blacklist

Once inside the Block menu, tap on Blacklist to get more blocking options.

4. Tap on Add

After you’ve entered the Blacklist settings, tap on Add at the bottom of the menu to select the contacts you wish to block.

5. Select the Contacts

When you tap on Add, a menu will appear allowing you to select the contacts you wish to block. Browse your Contacts List, Groups, or Recents to find the contact you want to blacklist. Tap on the circle next to the contact to check it and then tap on OK at the bottom of the page to confirm.

Use Call Settings

In addition to the Messages settings, you can also use the Calls settings to block unwanted text messages. Once you block a contact from the Calls menu, you’ll stop receiving both calls and texts from that particular number. You can do it in a few easy steps:

1. Select the Settings App

Tap on the Settings app to access the menu, then swipe until you reach Call.

2. Tap on Call

You should tap on the Call menu to access the Blacklist options.

3. Select Blacklist

Tap on Blacklist in the Blocking menu to start adding numbers and contacts to the list.

4. Tap Add

Once you’ve entered the Blacklist menu, tap on Add at the bottom of the screen to select the contacts you wish to block.

5. Select the Number

Select the contact or the number you wish to block from your Call Log, Groups, or Contacts. After you’ve added the number, that particular contact won’t be able to call or message you again.

Unblocking Text Messages

If you no longer want to block messages from a particular number, you can unblock it very easily. To do so, just follow these steps:

1. Launch Settings and Select Messages

2. Tap on the Blacklist Menu

3. Select the Contact You Wish to Unblock

When you select the contact you no longer want to be on your Blacklist, tap on Edit. The Edit option is in the top right corner of your screen. You can simply uncheck this contact to start receiving text messages from it again.
