With there being a glut of Bluetooth headsets available on the market, Motorola’s HF800 is a welcome oddity. It functions like a headset but comprises of a surprisingly powerful 1W speaker and a microphone. Consequently, it can act as a mini conference call device or, by clipping it to your car’s sun visor, a car hands-free kit. It’s genuinely palm-sized and easily portable. Talk time is rated at about 3 hours while standby is 100 hours .

Motorola HF800 Bluetooth Portable Speaker review

It works with standard Motorola chargers but only a car charger is bundled in the package – worth noting if you’ll use it with another type of phone. We do foresee problems with making voice-activated calls along a noisy road, but otherwise, so long as the speaker wasn’t too far away, it worked well. If it’s what you’ve been crying out for it’s well worth a look.
