With its 5.6in TFT and compatibility with CompactFlash, Memory Sticks and SD and MMC cards, the Aigo A216 picture frame is an attention-grabbing way of displaying your JPEG images. It also works as an external card reader once you’ve plugged it into your PC and slotted in a card. You can select how rapidly the image changes (between three seconds and one minute), the brightness of the screen and image rotation, as well as being able to zoom into your images. Unfortunately, the frame itself is cheaply made, and the screen suffers from terminally awful vertical viewing angles. The low resolution of 320 x 240 is also less than ideal for showing off your favourite images. The A216 is relatively cheap and initially striking, but it falls way short of a recommendation.
