With Apple hotly rumoured to be producing a touchscreen iPod – similar to its recently launched iPhone – in the not-too-distant future, it’s inevitable that other manufacturers are looking to beat it to the punch. Unfortunately, the 2GB MFFM37 is as half-baked as they come. The touchscreen is accurate enough, but the operating system is sorely lacking, and you might find yourself wanting longer fingernails, particularly during fiddly file navigation. It supports a decent range of file formats, as well as MPEG4 and WMV9 video, and the 2.4in 320 x 240 screen is good. If you’re after something that will be a talking point in the pub rather than a player that will give you hassle-free joy for years to come, this is it.
