Bluetrek Metal review

Price when reviewed

Many Bluetooth headsets, especially the cheaper ones, tend to be bulky and obtrusive; the sort of thing you’d expect to see accompanying a shiny shell suit at the local supermarket rather than a sharp suit on the way to the office. Bluetrek’s Metal is cheap, but it certainly isn’t your average headset. It’s extremely light, weighing 5.5g, incredibly slim at just 4mm, looks great and it’s comfortable, too: there’s a selection of rubber fittings in the box, so you can tailor it to your ear shape. Sound quality is fine at both ends of the call and it charges conveniently over USB, although you need to use the supplied adapter to do this. We’re not keen on the fiddly volume up and down controls, but otherwise the Bluetrek Metal is a bargain.
