SEH myUTN-50 review
This little box lets you connect to a USB device over the network and share it between as many PCs as you like. There are plenty of catches, though: streaming peripherals such as webcams don’t work, and you can’t use devices that take significant power from the USB port. That basically limits you to printers, flash drives and powered external hard disks. You need a client tool installed on every PC accessing the device, and you can’t share USB devices simultaneously, either: you must manually release a device using the software, while sitting at the PC that currently has access, before another machine can use it. It’s pricey too – probably more expensive than buying another printer, in fact – but if you need to get access to a USB device from a distance, the SEH does the job.
