Trump wins, and in unrelated news Canada’s immigration site seems to be crashing

Donald Trump is the 45th president of the United States. I’m beginning to feel that staying up to watch the night unfold was something of a mistake.

There’s only so much any government can do in four years, no matter how radical. However, economists have warned that Donald Trump’s policies spell bad things for the American economy, and the markets – at the time of writing – seem to be agreeing.

The only big exception to that four-year impact rule, of course, is climate change. Which Trump doesn’t believe in. Assuming things stay as they are, I’m seriously hoping his climate change rhetoric was just words, otherwise the Paris climate deal is in serious jeopardy.

I think I’m going to go to bed.
