Have you ever played a Roblox multi-player game solo because you couldn’t find anyone else to play with? If so, you’ll know that the game lacks that fun, competitive edge. Fortunately, you can avoid boring gaming experiences by creating a group of people who share your interests.

This article explains how to make and manage a Roblox group.
How to Make a Roblox Group
Roblox has evolved to accommodate features encouraging collaboration, engagement, and connection. This makes the platform much livelier because you don’t have to play games or figure out things alone. With a few clicks, you can gather other people who share your interests and get the fun started.
Before creating a group, check the Robux icon in the top right corner to see if you have 100 or more Robux. If you have less, you can buy as follows:
- Tap the Robux icon and select ‘Buy Robux.”
- Depending on the amount in your wallet, select a “Robux package” that works for you.
- Confirm the purchase and leave the page.
After loading your account with Robux, follow these steps to create a Roblox group:
- Log in to your Roblox account on your Mac or PC and select the “Ellipses menu” in the top left corner. If using a phone, open your Roblox mobile app and choose the “Ellipses menu” at the bottom right.
- Tap the “Groups icon” to display the group page.
- Underneath the list of groups, select “Create group.”
- Start filling in your group’s details on the “Create group” page. Enter the group name in the name field and write a group description.
- Add the group image in the “Emblem” section by dragging or uploading from your device.
- In the “Settings” section, choose who you want to join the group. For example, if you want your friends only to join the group, choose “Manual approval.” Anyone who joins the group remains pending until you accept the request. On the other hand, choosing “Anyone can join” allows anyone to access the group immediately after tapping “Join group.”
- Once you finish populating the group information, select the green “Robux icon” with a 100. Tap “Purchase” to process the transaction, and your group will be ready.
Selecting Your Roblox Group Name
Your Roblox name is the make or break of your group. Most people use the group name to determine if the group suits their preferences. Therefore, you should choose a name that vibrantly expresses the group’s purpose and what it stands for.
When you update your group name, it will be final for the next 90 days. So, don’t rush the selection process. You can create five names and test each one to see which matches the group perfectly.
Also, research online to avoid duplication of another group’s name. If you use an existing group name, your group creation process won’t succeed.
Writing Your Roblox Group Description
Do you want creators to come flooding into your group? If so, you should use the description section to give them a glimpse of what they’re missing. With a few lines, express the group’s main agenda.
Next, highlight the group’s activities, events, or projects. Do you have regular meetups, game nights, competitions, or other collaborative endeavors? Include them here.
Most importantly, expound on the group’s rules and regulations. How do you want your group members to behave? This prepares anyone joining the group on what’s expected of them regarding behavior and participation.
Selecting Your Roblox Group Icon
Does your group icon resonate with the name? Apart from adding a visual appeal to your group, your image amplifies the group name, and the two should be related. While choosing your group icon, ensure it doesn’t violate Roblox’s community standards. Otherwise, Roblox moderators will delete it immediately.
All Roblox images get resized to 256 x 256. Use an image with a square aspect, and ensure it’s not too large to prevent it from becoming blurry after resizing. The image format accepted includes JPG, JPEG, and PNG.
Roblox Group Configuration
Roblox has a “Configure group” page from which you manage and control group features and information. You’ll find the page from the “Ellipses” menu to the right of the group icon. Here are some of the group control features.
Group Information
The group information page is open by default when you select Configure group. This page allows you to edit group emblem (image) and description. It’s also from this page that you edit the group owner. If you select a new name in the owner’s section and click “Make owner,” the group ownership shifts to that person.
At the bottom of the page, you’ll find settings where you can edit if members should join the group through manual approval or automatically.
Members
The members’ page displays information about all creators in the group. It helps you to browse any member via the search bar. You can edit or expel the members’ roles from the group by choosing the “Kick user” icon beside their name.
If you selected members to join the group through manual approval, you also accept their requests from this page. At the top of the members’ page, select “Requests.” You can accept or decline by reviewing the individual request or selecting “Accept all” or “Decline all” at the top.
Roles
Roles or ranks refer to the responsibilities of every group member. Although there are four default roles, owner, admin, member, and guest, you can always add more or edit the existing ones. To create a new role, do the following:
- Select the “Roles” button. Below the four default roles, you’ll see the “Create role” button.
- Enter the role’s name, description, and rank.
- Tap the “Robux” icon with 25 and confirm the purchase.
To assign a member a role, follow these steps:
- Select the “Members” tab from the “Configure group” page.
- Choose the member you want to assign a role. Tap the “Drop-down” menu beneath their profile and select the role you want to assign them. To keep the group secure, inspect each role’s permission regularly.
Revenue
Your group Robux earnings are crucial because they reward the effort members put into the group. You can keep track of your Robux daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly earnings from the Revenue page.
If you fail to pay your creators, your group might crumble. For that reason, you also need to set payouts to members from this page. You can schedule recurring payouts or make a one-time payout.
Affiliates
The affiliate page helps you to keep your friends close and your enemies closer. You can declare other groups as your friends or as enemies. This keeps your group members informed of who they fight for and against.
To add a group as an enemy, follow these steps:
- Select the “Affiliate” button on the Configure group page.
- Choose “Allies,” and select “Send ally request” in the right corner.
- Type the name of the group you aspire to become friends the “Request” button.
To declare a group as an enemy, follow these steps:
- Go to “Settings” on the left sidebar and enable the toggle for “Allow enemy declaration.”
- Choose the “Affiliate” button on the Configure group page.
- Select “Enemies” and tap “Declare enemy” in the right corner.
- Type the group name you want to make an enemy and press the “Send” button.
