Avoid Game of Thrones season 7 spoilers with this Google Chrome extension
Game of Thrones season 7 is here and that means it’s time to start dodging spoilers on the internet. Muting “Game of Thrones” or #GoT on Twitter can only get you so far, and that’s where this Chrome browser extension comes in.
GameofSpoils, a free and easy-to-use extension for Google Chrome that blocks out any mention of Game of Thrones, along with related terms such as “Westeros” or “Targaryen”. You can also add your own phrases and keywords in to block them from your feed too – meaning you can cut out even suggestive spoilers from your timeline. After episode 3, it may have been worth blocking the word Cersei.
The blocked posts can be viewed by clicking on them, but you’ll have a three-second period to look away in case of accidental clicking, or if you have a change of heart.
GameofSpoils works natively on Facebook, Twitter, Reddit and Google News feeds. It now also has support for Reddit comments, Feedly and Buzzfeed too. You can also completely hide content, rather than just blocking it, giving you the added effect of not even knowing you’ve chanced upon a spoiler.
If you want to totally block all Game of Thrones spoilers from your life, you can download GameofSpoils from the Chrome Web Store.
