NetObjects Fusion 10 review

Fusion 10 doesn’t integrate with nPower, NetObjects’ site-management and versioning tool, which is a shame,as this was a good reason to buy version 9. However, a version 10-compatible edition is in the works. Professionals are likely to stick to Dreamweaver, which is more flexible and versatile than Fusion 10, and gives you full access to the underlying code rather than a highly selective subset. Fusion is more suited to the ambitious home user, particularly since Microsoft decided to retire FrontPage after nine years in the shops. Its replacement, Expression Web (see p77), is nearly twice the price of Fusion and, while it brings many extra benefits, it still leaves NetObjects well placed to grab a large portion of at least one market at last.
