If you have an iPod, chances are you’ve also installed iTunes and watched as it’s collided with your music collection. But it doesn’t have to be that way – no matter what Apple may have you believe, the two aren’t joined at the hip.
Tag&Rename is aptly named, but what that name doesn’t tell you is that it has full native support for a variety of formats. These include MP3, WMA and AAC, as well as more obscure codecs such as MusePack mpc/mp+, ASF Flac and Ogg Vorbis, along with many lossless variants such as Monkey’s Audio, WavPack, Optim Frog, Flac, Apple and Windows Media. When it comes to tag fields, you get everything from lyrics to cover art and even mood- and file-related URLs. It will automatically fix your existing file tags and process batch files with ease. The only downside is its slightly over-complex interface.
