GoPro Karma: 4K footage from GoPro’s long-awaited drone

GoPro has become synonymous with the whole daredevil spectrum of extreme sports, but now it’s taking its action camera expertise to the next level – it has been busy crafting its very own drone, the Karma. Details are virtually non-existent at the moment: there are no specifications, no pricing details, and nothing so much as a definitive release date. GoPro is keeping the Karma close to its chest. What we do have, though, is video evidence of its airborne abilities.

While the first teaser video for the Karma (see above) focused on super-crisp, super-smooth shots panning across woodland floors and trails, the new video ups the ante with a little more action. GoPro has enlisted the help of Bobby Brown – no, not that one, the other one – who has brought his considerable freeskiing talents to the table, along with a bunch of his equally talented snowbound chums.

And as it’s in 4K resolution, and literally dripping with tasty slow-mo, we now know one thing about the GoPro Karma: it shoots in 4K resolution and at high framerates, too. Suffice to say, it looks like the Karma is going to be a drone that’s going to make a whole heap of extreme sports fans, and drone enthusiasts, very happy indeed. Check it out below.
