NASA releases 11 more glorious Art Deco space tourism posters

The US design firm Invisible Creature has unveiled 11 more beautiful retro-futurist travel posters, commissioned by NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory for a 2016 calendar, taking the total to 14.

The colourful images hark back to classic travel posters of the early 20th century, swapping blimps, ferries and Monte Carlo for rockets, robotic pioneers and Southern Enceladus – one of Saturn’s moons. You can download all 14 from the NASA JPL website.

Grand tours to Jupiter and Neptune might not be a reality just yet, but here’s hoping the future oozes as much charm as these sheets. I’d like to imagine one of these hanging on the wall of a distant space utopia, presumably around the time the Randian basis of governance fails and everything starts to go a little BioShock
