Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 – How to Block Calls

Blocking some of the incoming calls is a good way to deal with the annoying telemarketers and spammers. On the other hand, you might also wish to block a particular contact for personal reasons. One way or the other, this feature allows you to have peace of mind and avoid unwanted calls.

There are a few ways to block calls on your Xiaomi Redmi Note 3. Follow any of the methods described below.

Enabling the Blocklist

Before you start blocking, you should make sure that the Blocklist is enabled on your Xiaomi Redmi Note 3. Here is how to do it:

1. Launch the Phone App

Open the Phone app and tap on Menu at the bottom left of the screen.

2. Select Blocklist

Tap on the Blocklist option to enter additional settings.

3. Tap on the Settings Icon

There is a small Settings icon in the top right corner of the screen. Tap on the icon to get to the Blocklist settings.

4. Toggle the Switch to On

The switch next to the Blocklist option should be toggled on. You can easily toggle it on or off by tapping on the switch.

Block Calls from Contacts App

One of the easiest ways to block unwanted incoming calls is from the Contacts app. You need to do the following:

1. Tap on the Contacts App

When you enter the app, select Contacts or Recents. This depends on whether you want to block calls based on your contacts or your recent calls.

2. Select a Contact

Browse the list of your contacts and tap on whichever one that you wish to block to enter the contact menu.

3. Tap On Menu

You should tap on the three vertical dots in the upper right corner of the screen to bring down the contact menu.

4. Select Block

A pop-down window will appear asking you to confirm your choice. Tap on OK to block this particular contact.

Block Calls from Phone App

You can use the Phone app to block unwanted calls directly from your Call List. These are the steps to block calls from the Phone App:

1. Launch the Phone App

Enter the Phone app and browse the Recents tab to look for the offending number.

2. Select the Number

Tap on the number to select it.

3. Tap on the Menu Icon

After you’ve selected the number, tap on the Menu icon at the bottom left of the screen to access more actions.

4. Select Block

Tap on Block in the pop-up menu and select OK to confirm your choice. This number will be automatically added to your Blocklist.

How to Unblock Numbers

If you want to unblock some of the numbers from your list you can easily do it by following these steps:

• Launch the Phone App and Tap on Menu
• Select Blocklist then Tap on Settings
• Select Blocked Numbers and Tap on the Blocked Number
• Select Unblock in the Pop-up Menu
