Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 - How to Screenshot

Screenshot via Device Buttons

One of the most common ways to take a screenshot is to use the device buttons. This is the same way to take screenshots on most Android devices, so you may already be familiar with it.

Step 1 – Set Up Your Screen

If you want to take a screenshot, first you need to set up your screen. The capture will show exactly what you see on the screen, so you may want to turn off split screen or center your subject.

Step 2 – Take Your Screenshot

Next, take the screenshot by simultaneously pressing and holding both the Volume Down button and the Power button. Keep holding the buttons down until you hear your device’s shutter sound. This sound signals that you have successfully taken your screenshot.

Be aware that you need to press both buttons at the same time. If you only press one and then the other, you may either turn the volume down on your device or put your phone to sleep.

Step 3 – Check Out Your Screenshot

Finally, check out your screenshot. You may swipe down from the top of your screen to see your notifications and then tap on the screenshot notification to see your picture.

Additionally, you may also look at your screenshot by tapping on the Gallery icon from your Home screen. Check Recent Photos or the Screenshot folder and tap on the thumbnail to preview, edit, or share the screenshot.

Screenshot via Quick Ball

If you have Quick Ball enabled on your Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, you can also take screenshots using Quick Ball gestures.

Step 1 – Enable Quick Ball

First, enable Quick Ball if you haven’t already. To do this, go to the Settings menu and tap on Additional Settings in the System & Device section. Tap on Quick Ball to toggle it on.

Step 2 – Take a Screenshot

Next, tap on the sideways bracket on the right side of the screen to open up your Quick Ball buttons.

Tap on the Screenshot button to take a picture of your screen. From your default settings, it is the fourth button from the top, symbolized by a pair of scissors under a bracket.

Screenshot via Three-Finger Swipe

You can also enable a three-finger swipe to take screenshots. To do this, go back into your Settings menu and tap on Additional Settings. Tap on the Screenshot option and toggle the switch next to the “Slide three fingers to take a screenshot” option to on.

When you are ready to take a screenshot, you can simply swipe with three fingers from the top to the bottom of the screen.
