With 32MB of onboard RAM (capable of storing up to 999 pages), the A402 is ideal for anyone who’s frantically searched for a three-month-old notebook in a desk drawer. In our tests, the pad proved sensitive enough to pick up our writing accurately, although it only turns it into a proprietary image format. Once back in the office, plug in the device and your missives are imported into the DigiMemo Manager; sadly, it doesn’t integrate with Microsoft OneNote in any useful manner. It’s a great way of archiving meeting minutes without typing up notes, though. You can also use the A402 as a graphics tablet: just bear in mind that it isn’t pressure sensitive, and so doesn’t come recommended for Photoshop work.
