Tritton SEE2 USB to VGA Adapter review

The SEE2 from Tritton allows you to add an extra monitor via a spare USB port – handy for notebooks without a video out or adding a third panel to existing dual-monitor setups. Once the drivers are installed, Windows will see the Tritton as a discrete monitor output, supporting resolutions of up to 1,600 x 1,200 over its VGA connection. On the downside, the relatively limited bandwidth of USB means picture quality isn’t always perfect and, while office software and browsing the internet caused no problems, video suffered from dropped frames and the occasional complete loss of movement. For undemanding tasks, though, it’s an easy – if not especially cheap – way of adding more screen real estate.
