How to Send Multiple Photos in a Text From an iPhone

As you probably know, iPhone is great for taking high-quality photos of good times shared with friends. And since they’re friends, you no doubt want to share those photos with them. This makes the ability to send multiple photographs in a single text (and avoid the tedious task of sending one at a time) a great feature.

How to Send Multiple Photos in a Text From an iPhone

In this article, you’ll learn how to do it and other valuable operations involving your photo app.

Sending Multiple Photos in a Text

If you have a series of photographs you want to send in a single text, follow these steps.

  1. Go to your “Photos” app on your iPhone and locate the folder where you have the photos you want to share.
  2. Click “Select” in the upper right corner. The title at the top of the screen will change to Select items.
  3. Select the photographs you want to send. You’ll see a checkmark on the ones you’ve clicked on. You can select up to 20 photos.
  4. When you’ve selected all the photographs, click on the “Share” icon at the bottom of the screen. It’s a little square with an arrow pointing up.
  5. At the bottom of the screen, you’ll see all the apps you can use to share the selected photographs. Click on the “Message” icon.
  6. Now, you’ll see all the photos selected in a message. At the top of the screen, you’ll find “To:” and a plus sign. Tap on the plus sign.
  7. From your contact list, choose the person you want to send the message to. You can select more than one.
  8. Click on the green arrow to send the message.

Share Multiple Photos in an Email

The troubleshooting method above will also let you share more than one photograph via email. But with that method, you’ll only be able to choose five shots instead of 20. If you want to email more than five photos at a time, follow the steps below.

  1. Go to your “Photos” app on your iPhone and locate the folder with the photos you want to share.
  2. Click “Select” in the upper right corner. The title at the top of the screen will change to Select items.
  3. Select the photographs you want to send, clicking on them individually. You’ll see a checkmark on the ones you’ve clicked on.
  4. Click on the three dots in the lower right corner and tap “Copy.”
  5. Open your “Email” app and tap the “New message” icon.
  6. Click and hold your finger on the body of the message until a pop-up menu appears.
  7. Click on “Paste,” and you’ll see all your photos in the email.
  8. At the top of the massage, you’ll find “To.” Type the email address of the person you want to send the photos to and then click “Send.”

Other Helpful Features of the Photo App

You can also keep your shots organized in multiple labeled folders inside the Photo app. Here you’ll learn how to create a folder and move photographs. To create a new folder, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to the “Photos” app on the main screen of your iPhone.
  2. Tap the “Plus sign” in the upper left corner.
  3. Click on “New Album.”
  4. Type the album’s name on the pop-up message and click “Save.”
  5. Back on the “Recent” folder, click on “Select” in the upper right corner.
  6. Select all the photos you want to send to the new folder.
  7. Once you’ve selected them, click on the three dots in the lower right corner.
  8. From the pop-up menu, tap on “Add to Album” and select the new folder you’ve created. All the shots selected will be automatically moved to the selected folder.
