Are you a loyal Snapchat user? If so, chances are you’ve got some pretty cool wardrobe options for your bitmoji. The Snapchat app is known for its evolving nature, and this social media network has released new features to wow its loyal members. One of the features is the new 3D bitmoji.

How to Get 2D Bitmoji in Snapchat...You Can't Any More

There’s been a lot of buzz regarding this new feature, and the opinions are divided: you either like it or you don’t. Today, we’ll try to tend to the needs of those who are not huge fans of the new 3D bitmoji.

So, if you’re not a fan of the latest Snapchat update, stay tuned. We’ll discuss whether you can go back to your 2D bitmoji and more.

Can You Bring Back the 2D Bitmoji?

It’s a no from Snapchat. All the updates on this app are permanent. This means you can do nothing once your app gets updated and your 2D bitmoji turns into 3D.

Don’t be discouraged, though. You can do other things to keep your Snapchat account to your preference.

Edit Your 3D Bitmoji

Although you can’t go back to the beloved 2D bitmoji, you can edit the 3D one. Here’s how you can do that in just four steps:

  1. Open the Snapchat app on your phone.
  2. Click on the bitmoji icon in the top left corner of your screen.
  3. Tap on your online avatar one more time to enlarge it.
  4. You’ll see an option to edit (outfit, pose and background).

Change is possible. It’s time to gather your creative skills and fix what can be fixed. Try out new poses, dress differently, change the background, add or get rid of some makeup, change the hair, face shape, etc.

Unlink Your 3D Bitmoji

If nothing works, and your Snapchat avatar can’t be saved, you can try unlinking your bitmoji. Here are the steps:

  1. Open the Snapchat app on your phone.
  2. Click on your bitmoji in the top left corner of your screen.
  3. Go to “Settings” in the top left corner again.
  4. Scroll and click on “Bitmoji.”
  5. Find and click on “Unlink my Bitmoji.”

Following these steps doesn’t mean that you’ll be deleting your 3D bitmoji. That’s impossible. This just means that it’ll be back to its 3D generic self.

How to Create Your Own Bitmoji

Creating your own bitmoji is relatively simple. If you want to create your own virtual Snapchat self, you can do that by following a couple of steps. This is for those who are installing Snapchat for the first time.

Once you click on the app, the process officially starts.

  1. Tap on the “Profile” icon.
  2. Choose “Create my avatar.”

Snapchat will walk you through the rest of the process.

You’ll have to pick your bitmoji’s hairstyle, skin color, and body type. You’ll also have to choose between the little things such as earrings, socks, and even freckles.

If you’ve already created your avatar on other social media platforms, this process is probably very familiar to you.

Once you’re finished with your bitmoji and like the “look” that you’ve created, go back to the main page to check how it looks. This is how your bitmoji will look to other users you snap.

If you’re looking for a change, you can always go back to “Create avatar” and spice up your bitmoji’s style.
