Can Postiz AI Help You Organize Your Social Media in One Place?

Key Takeaways
  • Postiz is an AI-powered social media management and scheduling tool.
  • It offers many of the major features found in competing social media management tools, with plans that may be cheaper than some competitors.
  • That said, the brand is still new, and Postiz has some rough edges to smooth out.

Running a business is more than just the business end of things. Advertising and regular social media have become a must for exposure and reach. That said, with so many platforms to post on so often, it’s a mammoth task that needs help. That’s where social media management tools like Hootsuite and Buffer come in.

These are well-established names, but AI has arrived on the scene to change the game. In this article, we’re taking a look at a newcomer to the scene. Join us for our Postiz AI review.

Open-Source Organization – Our Postiz AI Review

Let’s get straight into things. We’ve organized our review into sections for easier reference.

What Is Postiz?

Can Postiz AI Help You Organize Your Social Media in One Place 1

Simply put, Postiz is a social media management and scheduling tool. Much like its competitors, this tool schedules posts, helps create them with AI, and publishes them across more than 30 supported social media platforms and networks. What sets Postiz apart is its open-source code (AGPL-3.0), which allows users to access it in two ways:

  • Cloud access – The most accessible way. A monthly subscription gets you access to Postiz and all its capabilities.
  • Server hosting – Where the open-source shines. The user self-hosts the software for free, only paying for the associated server costs.

Both are viable ways of accessing Postiz, but require different skill levels. Server hosting requires a bit more savvy, but is by no means impossible.

What Are the Features?

Once you’re using Postiz, what does the tool offer? Well, let’s look at some of the major features:

  • Post Scheduling – A major feature of any tool like this, Postiz allows users to set up posting schedules on different platforms with the help of a handy drag-and-drop visual calendar.
  • Automation – Wind it up and let it go. Public API integration and scheduling allow content to be created through different automated means and posted on time.
  • AI Assistant – Not only is there post automation, but Postiz comes with a handy AI assistant that can help plan and create content too. It’s agentic, which allows for integration with ChatGPT, Claude, and other models. The built-in generation is something limited by tiers in cloud use.
  • Scalability – Teams can access the tool from an account and keep track of reach and engagement through analytics, which is markedly simpler in comparison with other tools.
  • Security and Privacy – Postiz’s open-source code and self-hosting option can give users greater control over their data and infrastructure. However, whether a particular Postiz deployment is GDPR compliant depends on how it is configured and used.

Some Downsides

Of course, such a new product on the market is going to come with some rough edges, and compared to the competition, Postiz does feel less polished in that regard. The UI is perhaps not as polished and intuitive as, say, Hootsuite, and the analytics may feel somewhat simplistic, but this might change in the future.

In addition, while posts can be generated in multiple languages (especially with API integration), the interface for Postiz is currently limited to English. Again, this might change.

Pricing

As mentioned above, server hosting for Postiz is free; you only pay for the associated server and infrastructure costs. Cloud access, however, will require tiered access and a monthly (or yearly) subscription. Your plan determines how many channels you can use and which features and AI-generation allowances are available. While the Standard tier will only cost you $29 (but is best used by content creators), the recommended tier (Pro) will cost you $49 per month. This is far below the price of competitors like Hootsuite.

That said, Postiz does offer a free 7-day trial (after creating an account and entering your card details) that’ll give the curious a chance to test the waters.
