How to Delete a Picture from Kik

3. Tap on “Delete,” and you’ll no longer be able to see the message.

It’s worth mentioning that you can only delete messages from your device because the app stores them on user’s devices, and you technically can’t delete them from the app itself.

Deleting Chats

Even if you find some Kik members interesting for a while, if the communication between you two stops, it’s best to make room for new chats by deleting the old ones. If you were wondering whether this process is complicated, it’s not, here’s how to do so:

1. Select the Kik chat you wish to delete.
2. If you’re using Android, press and hold, and in the pop-up window, choose “Delete Conversation.”
3. If you’re using iOS, swipe the conversation and click on “Delete.”

If you deleted a group chat, you are now automatically removed from the group.

Clearing All Message History

Emoji Status

Background Picture

Kik also introduced the option to change the background image on your profile. The process is the same as when you’re changing the profile picture, but you need to go to “Settings” and click on “Set Background Photo.”

Chat Bubble Color

How to Temporary Deactivate Your Account

If you realized that you need a break from Kik, you can easily deactivate your account and reactivate it when you feel like returning to it. When you decide to deactivate it, you’ll stop getting messages, notifications, and your name will disappear from other members’ contacts. You can do so by going to the deactivation website, where you’ll need to leave your email address.

Of course, you can reactivate your account Kik account by signing in. If you forget your username or password, you’re able to reset them using your registration email address.
