Genshin Impact: How to Get Fischl

The eyepatch-wearing and night raven-rearing adventurer from Mondstadt, Fischl, has been called an SS-tier character due to her immense combat prowess. A mysterious so-called princess, she has a persona when interacting with others that accompanies her intimate knowledge of the world’s workings. Ever since her release, she has been quite popular among Genshin Impact players.

Genshin Impact: How to Get Fischl

If you want to learn how to obtain Fischl in Genshin Impact, buckle up for the long ride. In this article, you’ll also find out how to build her. We’ll also answer some of your burning questions.

Genshin Impact’s Fischl Overview

Fischl’s character is extremely eccentric and full of surprises to all who wish to know her. She speaks in a noble manner and her night raven, Oz, has to translate for her. This roleplaying streak is still only a façade from her true nature, a well-behaved lady.

When in her persona of a princess, she claims to be from beyond Teyvyat, which always confuses those who don’t know her very well. Even if she breaks character, these same people are all the more befuddled. It’s most likely due to her persona that few are willing to play along or befriend her.

She has a gamut of wild theories of how the world of Teyvyat works. She will often take Oz along to prove that her theories are correct, and this has allowed her to climb up the ranks of the Adventurer’s Guild. Even if people think she’s strange, they don’t dismiss her theories immediately.

In combat, Fischl is an Electro archer, wielding a bow with high precision. Her night raven also occasionally joins in to strike at the opponent as part of her abilities. As an archer, she can harass enemies from afar and pump out immense amounts of damage at once.

Not a stranger to battle, Fischl is highly experienced and can hold her own. This is part of why she’s respected in the Adventurer’s Guild.

Best Fischl Builds

Through experimentation, the Genshin Impact community has found Fischl to be highly suitable for the support role. She can also work as the primary damage per second (DPS) character with the right builds. Oz is a part of her move-set and contributes to a lot of her damage output as well.

Support Build

Oz is an excellent Electro spreader and can regenerate the team’s energy. While both Fischl and Oz gain damage boosts, teammates will receive energy, allowing them to keep up the barrage of attacks.

For her support build, you need to equip her with the Skyward Harp. This weapon grants her 20% more critical damage, and these hits have a 60% chance of becoming area of effect (AOE) attacks. These AOE attacks deal 125% of her physical attack damage, occurring once every four seconds.

Some dependable substitutes are:

  • Alley Hunter
  • Elegy for the End
  • The Stringless
  • Favonious Warbow

These substitutes are great until you obtain a Skyward Harp. You can also stick with them to experiment.

For her artifacts, you can equip her with either a two-piece or four-piece set of Thundering Fury. The former grants her 15% more Electro damage. The latter has more advantages, including superconduct damage increasing by 40% and three of these triggering reducing her Elemental Burst cooldown by a second.

This effect only activates once per 0.8 seconds.

Gladiator’s Finale is another artifact set you can give her. In two-piece sets, Fischl gets 18% more attack damage. A four-piece set doesn’t have any special bonuses that apply to her, so we don’t recommend it.

DPS Build

Fischl’s DPS build works well with a Cryo character on the team. Combining both attacks allow you to inflict Physical debuffs on your enemies for increased damage. By keeping Oz out in combat as long as you can, you can maximize her damage output with the help of a well-built team.

Her weapon of choice as a DPS character is the Skyward Harp as well. The same advantages are beneficial for a DPS-built Fischl, which is why it remains the best choice even for both builds.

Substitutes include:

  • Rust
  • The Viridescent Hunt
  • Amos’ Bow

Since the Skyward Harp is a five-star weapon, obtaining it is quite difficult, especially for lower-level players. These three replacements can still help her deal a lot of damage to her enemies.

This DPS build is best with two Gladiator’s Finale artifacts and two Thundering Fury artifacts. The hybrid artifact set allows her to maximize normal and Electro attack damage.

Sub-DPS Build

If you prefer to have another character as your main DPS fighter, you can still have Fischl on your team. She needs to be built differently, and you’ll find yourself wiping out legions of enemies. Consider having her as a sub-DPS as well in the future.

The sub-DPS build consists of a Skyward Harp and a four-piece set of Thundering Fury artifacts. Oz will therefore contribute to the combat effort by dealing extra damage.

Two substitute weapons are The Stringless and Favonius Warbow. They’ll let you still put up a decent fight until you get a Skyward Harp.

Substitute Equipment

If you can’t get the best equipment, consider getting these replacement weapons:

  • The Stringless
  • Rust
  • Favonius Warbow

Thundering Fury can be difficult to come by, so consider these other artifacts too:

  • Pale Flame
  • Gladiator’s Finale
  • Gambler

Now that you’ve made it this far, you can make Fischl a great addition to your team. With the proper builds, few enemies can survive her relentless onslaught of arrows and night raven attacks from Oz.

Getting Fischl for Free in the Unreconciled Stars Event

Back in 2020, there was an event called Unreconciled Stars. This event gave you a free copy of Fischl when you completed it. However, the event had since ended a long time ago. For posterity, we’ll walk you through the event.

Unreconciled Stars Event Details

There were four phases in this event, released a few days after the other. They were:

  • Unknown Star
  • Star of Deceitful Dreams
  • Star of Destiny
  • Where Ancient Stars Align

In between event waves, you were able to complete Meteoric Wave Event Quests as well. You could choose from one of them and start playing right away. Other than these, there was the Fallen Star Challenge, and the Meteorite Remains Salvage Challenge.

The first challenge required you to defeat enemies and submitting the energy gained from them while standing still. The latter involved looking for Mona and salvaging four meteorites, and you could replay it as much as you wanted.

At the end of these waves of events, you would unlock Fischl for free. There were three requirements:

  • Complete the “Star of Destiny” quest
  • Accumulate completions in the Meteorite Remains Salvage Challenge

  • Accumulate completion in the Fallen Star Challenge

You could see your progress at any time by opening the relevant menu. Keeping track of your requirements and working hard eventually netted you Fischl as a reward.

Obtaining Fischl Today

Ever since the Unreconciled Stars Event ended, there haven’t been any events that rewarded you with a free Fischl copy. However, you can still get here at a higher cost.

The first method is to use your Wishes. The Wanderlust Invocation lets you use your Wishes to gamble for a chance of getting her. Every tenth wish is guaranteed to reward you with a four-star character or item. If you’re fortunate, you might be able to get Fischl this way.

Event Exclusive characters aren’t in the Wanderlust Invocation reward pool. You have to get them separately.

There’s always a chance to get Fischl in Event Wishes. She has been featured in four of them, the latest being on June 9, 2021. In these events, 50% of your four-star drops are one of three four-star characters. If you got a four-star character, you have a 33% chance of obtaining her.

Using Wishes is an excellent way for those who want to max out her constellation. Since there’s no limit on how many copies you can get, you can spend your Wishes here to get her.

Another method for getting Fischl is to wait for Paimon’s Bargains. If she shows up, you can purchase one copy for 34 Masterless Glitter. This is also the cost for all other four-star characters. After you buy this copy, you won’t be able to buy another one until Paimon comes back again.

If Fischl doesn’t show up in Paimon’s Bargains, you’ll have to wait again.
