How to Delete a Google Play Account?

Your Google Play Account is linked to your Google account. So, if you want to delete your Google Play account, you’d have to delete your entire Google account.

But we’ll assume that you want to keep your Google account and use it on your PC or other devices. Therefore, the only solution for eliminating your Google Play account is removing your Google account from your device.

Once you remove your Google account from your advice, though, you won’t be able to use any of the apps linked to it (e.g. Gmail). So, if you are sure that you want to remove your Google account from your device, here’s how to do it.

  1. On your Android device, go to Settings.
  2. Scroll down and tap “Accounts.”
  3. Tap on the Google account that you want to remove.
  4. Tap “Remove account.”
  5. Tap “Remove account” again.

Remove a Google Account on PC

1. Go to your Gmail.

2. In the top-right corner of the screen, click on your account icon.

How Can I Delete Google Play Services on My Phone?

Be careful when trying to delete Google Play Services. This is the most essential app on your phone as it connects your Android device with all the Google features. If you delete or disable Google Play Services, your device may not continue to work properly.

For this reason, newer versions of Android don’t allow you to delete this app. What you can do instead is disable it or limit its permissions.

· Disable Google Play Services

1. Go to Settings.

2. Navigate to “Apps” or “Apps & notifications.” Note: This depends on your version of Android.

3. Tap “See all apps.”

4. Scroll down and tap on “Google Play services.”

5. Tap “Disable.”

6. Tap “Disable app.”

How Do I Delete a Device From My Google Account?

There are two ways to remove a device from your Google account. First, you can remove your Google account directly from a device using one of the methods we’ve already described.

However, Google lets you sign out of devices remotely. You can do this from your desktop or mobile browser.

· Delete a device from your PC

1. Go to your Google account.

2. In the sidebar to your left, click “Security.”

3. Click “Manage devices” in the “Your devices” tab.

4. Click on the three vertical dots in the tab of the device you want to remove.

5. Click “Sign out.”

6. Click “Sign out” again.

· Delete a device from your mobile browser

1. Go to your Google account.

2. Swipe right on the horizontal tab menu and tap “Security.”

3. Scroll down and tap “Manage devices” in the “Your devices” tab.

4. Tap on the three vertical dots in the tab of the device you want to remove.

5. Tap “Sign out.”

6. Tap “Sign out” again.

Note: In both cases, you’ll immediately get an email notification that you’ve successfully signed out of that device.

How Can I Delete My Old Account?

As of June 2021, if you have a Google account you haven’t used in more than two years, Google may automatically delete it. But don’t worry, Google will notify you about your account removal in advance so you have enough time to backup your data.

However, if you don’t want to wait on Google, you can manually delete your Google account.

1. Sign in to your Google account.

2. Click on the “Privacy & Personalization” tab.

3. In the “Download, delete, or make a plan for your data” tab, click “Delete a service or your account.”

If you still want to disable Google Play, do the following:

1. Go to Settings.

2. Navigate to “Apps” or “Apps & notifications.” Note: This depends on your version of Android.

3. Tap “See all apps.”

4. Scroll down and tap on “Google Play.”

5. Tap “Disable.”

6. Tap “Disable app.”

Again, if you want to delete Google Play permanently, you’ll have to root your phone. Remember that you do this at your own risk.

How Do I Delete My Google Play Developer Account?

Fortunately, you can cancel your Google Play Developer account without deleting your entire Google account. In fact, if you delete your regular Google account, your Developer account will remain active.

Depending on whether you’ve published apps or not, you can cancel your Developer account in two ways.

· No published apps

1. Go to this page to submit the cancelation request.

2. Enter the necessary information in the provided fields.

3. Select “I would like to cancel and refund my account.” (Note: You can select “Other” and provide more information about how you want to delete your account in the text box below.)

4. Check the “I’m not a robot” field captcha and solve the puzzle.

5. Click “Submit.”

· Published apps

1. Before you send a request to Google to delete your Developer account, make sure you download or backup your information.

2. Review information about transferring apps to a different developer account.

3. At the bottom of this page, click on “Submit your transfer request.”
