One excellent thing about Amazon Prime Video is that, unlike Netflix, you don’t need a fancy subscription to access the 4K HDR content. Anyone who is an Amazon Prime member, and has access to a 4K device – such as the Nvidia Shield TV, Android TV built into 4K TVs and the Sony Xperia XZ Premium – can watch 4K content at no extra cost.

Being an Amazon Prime member also comes with various other bonuses too, such as Amazon Fresh delivery, Prime Now’s under two-hour deliveries, Amazon Prime Music and free same or next-day delivery. Installing Amazon Prime Video on Android used to be somewhat cumbersome, requiring you to download the Amazon app and then use that to download a Prime Video app. Thankfully, that’s been done away with as Google and Amazon have decided to play nice when it comes to apps.
